Detailed Information:
SEI is an organization of scientists, educators and lawyers, who are committed to finding cooperative solutions to environmental issues. We use science to find impartila and proactive approaches. Our staff and volunteers have helped to find answers in many areas: from the Caribbean coral reefs to the forests of the Northwest. Major program areas include: coast and ocean; endangeded species; forest ecosystems; ecotourism. SEI has a major program in Montserrat, West Indies, where we are helping the local community build an ecologically sustainable tourism industry. In the Pacific Northwest, SEI researchers are working to find conservation and management strategies for the threatened Marbled Murrelet.
