Detailed Information:
The Interdisciplinary Institute of Environmental Economics and Management is devoted tointerdisciplinarity and internationality in the fields of research and teaching. In our courses we wantto address those students who take environmental issues for mor e than just the subject of a lecture. We analyze - theoretically and empirically - the interrelations between the economy and theenvironment and develop tools for creative new solutions. This work cannot be done by us alone. For that reason we have estab lished cooperations with colleagues at the Vienna University ofEconomics and Business Administration, with partners in Austria and other countries atuniversities as well as in public authorities and the corporate sector. Our research orientation is to solve problems relating to the economy, ecology and society at large. New challenges in a newdynamic environment need new interdisciplinary methods. Our institute with its members andstudents as well as Austrian and international guests offers knowledge and competence in the fieldof environmental economics, environmentally oriented business administration, regional and urbandevelopment related environmental issues. In our Web Pages, we also provide a calender of events, where everybody is invited to add conferences, talks and other events related to environmental topics.
