Participants join backcountry teams helping research specialists search for answers to important environmental problems affecting wildlife species and pristine wildland areas. Programs take place in the US Mountain West, Alaska, Hawaii, New Zealand, Fiji, Canada, Belize, Thailand and Nepal. Programs are run year-round and last from 2 to 9 weeks. Team members can earn academic credit from San Francisco State University for their participation. This will be the 19th year for Wildlands Studies Programs'.
