Hoosier Environmental Council
Since 1983, HEC has worked for a better Indiana environment. We are the only environmental group providing in-depth research and advocacy on the broad range of Indiana environmental issues.

HEC is an independent organization. The Council does work closely with many national and regional environmental organizations, coalitions and networks. HEC is a member of the Lake Michigan Federation and Great Lakes United. HEC works to restore and protect Indiana`s natural environment upon which all life depends. EDUCATING members, the media, elected officials and the public on environmental issues. Promoting COMMUNICATION among Indiana`s environmental organizations. ADVOCATING sound environmental policies before state and local environmental boards and commissions. Staying environmentally damaging actions and undoing damage that has already occured through LEGAL ACTION. Bringing environmentalists TOGETHER to address major issues. HEC is a non-profit organization.
