ERA is a non-government, non-profit organization concerned with the deteriorating environment, infrastructure, social fabric and national sovereignty owing to more than a decade of financial and trade deregulation. Today`s international financial system has become a major threat to living systems on the planet. It generates levels of debt and interest which enslave many national economies, including the Third World. These debts can only be repaid, if ever, by ever- increasing economic growth and consumption. The result is escalating environmental destruction, unemployment and poverty.
