Started in 1975, we are a grassroots group based in the State of Nevada, providing education, advocacy, and empowerment to citizens on matters of environmental justice and problems affecting the environment. Major issues we deal with include: Nuclear waste storage and transportation, including the proposed high level nuclear waste dump at Yucca Mountain, Nevada; growth management and air quality issues in Reno and Las Vegas Valley; regional water quality and water resource management issues; Native American issues; renewable and alternative energy resources; militarization of the Great Basin.
