Detailed Information:
We are just completing this country's (UK)first public sustainable building. The 2.5Kw wind turbine, and solar panels will provide electricity, we are using composting toilets,and a greenroof system to minimize water use. Triple glazed widows and solar space conserve heat. The building is a community building, but we will provide environmental courses linked to the National Curriculum to schools and colleges. We are setting up a Waste minimization/community composting scheme. We have a butterfly walk,wildflower meadows, 3.5 acre woodland, bmx track and adventure playground, as well as a mimi Stonehenge. The site is acessible to all.
