Detailed Information:
Sustainable Harvest International was incorporated in New Hampshire as a non-profit organization in 1997. SHI is currently working on projects in over thirty communities in Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama. As resources allow, projects will be extended to the many other communities throughout the tropics that are waiting for our assistance. Our projects in rural communities help people raise their standard of living by restoring the natural environment. We do this by providing technical and material support to farmers and local organizations that want to implement sustainable agriculture, agroforestry, reforestation and other appropriate technologies. Sustainable Harvest International is maintained by a voluntary board of directors, a paid staff, volunteers and donations from individuals, businesses and foundations.
