The project will generate considerable global benefits by contributing to an international response to the problem of invasive species, a threat that affects biodiversity worldwide. GISP is funded by the Global Environmental Facility, UNEP, UNESCO, the Norwegian government, ICSU, NASA. La Fondation Total, The Packard Foundation and the John D. and Catherine T.
