Education. The primary goals of education are to: (a) instill public awareness of the beauty and fragility of the marine environment, (b) promote environmentally responsible use of the oceans, and, (c) transform passive recreational users into active conservationists. In collaboration with public aquariums and the dive industry, Oceanwatch offers Protect the Living Reef, a diver education program on basiccoral reef ecology and how to protect reefs while diving.
