BEAG`s staff has expertise inmedicine, engineering, statistics, biology, economics, computerscience, and environmental science. BEAG`s uniqueinterdisciplinary nature and flexibility enable it to weld aproblem-specific interdisciplinary team from its own staff, otherBNL scientists and University collaborators.BEAG has worked chiefly for U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) andU.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and has receivedsupport from other federal agencies, international organizations,and private corporations. BEAG actively participates ininternational environmental and health assessment activities. Itis a collaborating Center of the World Health Organization and ofthe United Nations Environment Programme and has been involved inseveral assessments organized by the Environment Directorate ofthe Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development.
