There were a LOT of GOOD older environmental posts that should have gone to other pages, but instead got lost!!! One on the 2009 tundra scientists' findings with links---very important, and GONE!!!
21 posts are all that is allowed and some of them are just spam like greenpower trying to sell his 1989 book stock.
The other forums have multiple pages, and this IS Envirolink, not open forum link.
If there isn't enough space, limit open forum to one page instead of the environment!
Environment shows page 1 of 1, and open forum says page 1 of 76!!![-X  :x [-o<

Index page shows Environmental 41 topics 513 posts but the forum shows only 21 topics when accessed.

The animal concerns forum shows 19 topics in both locations.

Not sure what is going on, except that the system may have pruned inactive threads on its own. I didn't purposefully have that as a setting, but it appears that any thread that has not had a post for more than X days was removed. I doubt they are recoverable, either.

Damn... There was a setting that I never realized that auto pruned any topic that had not had a posting in over 200 days. I've changed that setting going forward, but that will not bring back the posts that were removed from the database. Restoring the database from a backup would be close to impossible. Ugh.

Josh, the posts seem to be somewhere in the system as I found my posts back to 2003 just by using the "find all posts" function for my screen name.

Nope, false alarm. Only the posts not pruned were there ...

Search found 4476 matches and Total posts: 17789

Josh Knauer / Administrators / Moderators,

I would like to know whether old threads are still getting pruned automatically in EnviroLink. I am asking this because I have posted my article / thread "Industrial Society destroys Mind and Environment" in the "Environmental Issues" forum and I have posted the link to this thread [http://www.envirolink.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2915] on a large number of other Forums and Blogs where I could not post the complete article.

Please let me know if this link will continue to work in future......and also kindly suggest what can be done to keep the link valid if I or other members are unable to post on this thread in future and it becomes inactive.

This is the only article I have written in my life.....that is why I am concerned about this thread.
