From observations, ESAS had no ice cover 2019. In using latent heat charts and depth, data on present 50 meter thermal rise and the sensitivity of methane clathrate to ice cage failure; It was 14 solar heating months to raise the temp 1*F at 50 m and cause ice cage failure, 2018. So now down to 9 solar heating months. The deposits are from 40 to 60 m deep and estimated at 1,400GTs. The latest bottom temp I have seen is now +1.2*F. or +.8*F more and the 40 m deep could start large releases several months early. So massive releases starting in just two years and in full runaway by the Blue Ocean Event 2023. Thermal rise could hit +1*C per year by 2025-6. 2028 could be the start of the main omnicide.

DOES METHANE RISE FROM THE ARCTIC OCEAN?
On October 26, 2020 pm, the MetOp-1 satellite recorded methane levels as high as 2537 ppb.
Where did such high levels originate?
The animation shows areas solidly magenta-colored and indicating high methane levels to first appear over the East Siberian Arctic Shelf close to sea level, and to grow larger and cover more of the Arctic Ocean at higher altitudes.
The ClimateReanalyzer forecast for November 7, 2020 shows very high temperature anomalies over the Arctic Ocean, in particular over the East Siberian Arctic Shelf, while the Arctic as a whole shows an anomaly of 6°C compared to 1979-2000.

Anomalies and seismic events could trigger chain reaction abrupt releases (very rapid expansion 164 times), otherwise latent heat and solar exposure gives a range from 2023 to 2025 for beginning of methane runaway. Then 3 years or so to near total global crop failures.

People think that if they do this or that they will "save the planet". They have no clue as to the amount, depth, present temperature, latent heat, and characteristics of methane clathrate. They don't really have an idea of geologic time involved for restoration.
There are so many riders of the apocalypse that one way or another the wall of limits is hit hard.
People talking about industrialization or fashion, and other side issues, when abrupt thermal gain from self releasing methane clathrate deposits takes us up at .5 to 3*C per year, kills first our food supply, then us, then surface life, then most ocean life. The thermal rise to maximum will probably commence in 2 1/2 years and end 19 years later. The only survivors will be in stocked underground cities and other facilities and their food and power will not outlast a toxic surface/atmosphere for millions of years.

There is no saving the planet. The planet doesn't need to be saved. It will here until the sun starts to die and becomes a red giant.

There is no saving humanity either, all we can do is stall the inevitable extinction. It's too late to save our asses.

Some even think it will actually kill off tardigrades! If so, thermal vent life and extremophiles will make it. Cyanobacteria should make it to do their thing and restore the atmosphere in several million years.
