Also, ditch the clothes dryer for most clothes, and hang out in the air to dry for everything that you can.

The dryer uses energy, and the constant tumbling of the clothes in the dryer tears up the fabric. What the dryer destroys of the clothing ends up in the lint filter.

We buy classic cut clothes, good brands, and wear them until we wear them out. Then they are repurposed as cleaning rags.

We don't buy pre-faded or jeans with holes in them already, because that is just a ploy to make them not last as long.

We may pay a bit more for high quality clothes, but after years of wear, it's cheaper in the long run.
