Post subject:  S-U-Plastic banned in UE: Companies keep selling it illegaly
In 2019 a important directive that bans SUP (single use plastic) in Europe has been voted. The implementation of this law took 2 years, to let countries manage and drive step by step their national law to this future directive and help their companies in the transition.

Since the 4th of July, this year, selling SUP has been judging illegal in EU.

I live in France (sorry for my broken english) and I noticed for more than a month that there is still some supermakets, restaurants and bars selling plastic straws, or plastic cup... :crazy: This is illegal but they keep doing it. ](*,) ](*,)

Am I the only one to see that rules are clearly not respecting in my country ? Where do you guys come from in Europe ? Is it the same for you ? :-k :-k

The directive does not prohibit the sale of products already in the market place, but the addition of new products according to the definitions within the directive.

‘placing on the market’ means the first making available of a product on the market of a Member State;
