I know this is somewhat an oxymoron, but I'm interested to hear how others feel about the topic. Of course huge manufacturers have recently started making cars more "environmentally-friendly" but obviously not really. How environmentally friendly can you even make a car? This California Lemon Law Firm wrote an article about one of the "efforts" made by Honda to be environmentally friendly...seems like a joke to me. Link below.



1) It caused issues with the car 2) Are they seriously feeling good about using a more environmentally friendly refrigerant when their emissions are INSANE? This is getting ridiculous to be frank. I'd like to hear others' thoughts though.

The refrigerant is not the issue, but the quality of the components within the cooling system that are subject to cracks, which in turn allow the refrigerant to leak. It would not matter what refrigerant was used if the components are not sealed and leak free.

Perhaps we should learn to live without AC?

Perhaps we should learn to drive to save gas, extremely slow acceleration and coasting as much as practical before I have to apply the brakes results in 100 extra miles per tankful of fuel. Less fuel burned, means less carbon emitted, and less oil drilled and refined.
