To return to innocence would require a time machine, if, indeed there ever was a time where humans were truly innocent. First the evil was carnivores, and the good were herbivores, but humans were omnivores. Now it is vegans thinking they are the good while people who eat meat are bad. Things die to keep others living, whether plants, animals or fungi. I think a real return to innocence would require universal knowledge of nature, and foresight to see the future effects of over-breeding, fossil fuel use, and greed. No stupidity or evil would be allowed, but then it would not be so innocent because they require being taken out of the gene pool and composted. What about the carnivores that have people on their menu? Try to treat them nice and you may end up missing limbs. It is nice to have pets, but what if they overpopulate? Maybe innocence requires just being cow-like?
