As an example, Peta supports and advocates the destruction of private property in a cause they believe to be just, that of animal rights.

If a person believed that animals did not have rights and took steps to prevent Peta from performing their operations by destroying their private property, Peta would have no choice but to accept these actions because it is what they condone.

If you supported the destruction of private property in an effort to achieve your goal and somebody reciprocated in kind because they disagreed with your goal; would you have an issue with those actions?

Well each situation is illegal so it doesn't matter.

Everyone has their own version of ethics.

I do not condone the destruction of private property. I do not believe animals have "rights." Humans are endowed with rights. Humans accord animals certain protections in the law which are not rights.
