I so live painting ... not. We were lucky to have plans the weekend the younger son had the "painting party" for their new house. It looks really good even without my help.
Pizza for dinner last night ... Ginny helped with the older son's wedding invitations while I did the rounds of the hardware stores looking for a replacement temperature control system for my shower and a lawnmower for the younger son.
Mexican for Lunch/dinner today. Late for luch and early for dinner, but too darned hot for two meals. I had several glasses of sweet tea and not much food since I did the yard work this morning before the triple digit thermometer readings.
It was hot here too, somewhere in the 90's. plenty hot for me.
Last minute family dinner tonight at our house, once I found out we had family in from out of town, I thought it would be nice to get together
Burgers, BBQ pork roast, chips, dips, grilled and fresh veggies. Dessert was rhubarb, apple, blueberry sauce on pound cake with ice cream, whipped cream, and pecans on top. Lots of goodies from the garden these days :), love it~~
yum. why are last minute gatherings usually the funnest?
Maybe there is less time for anticipation and the drama that often accompanies it. The meal sounded great!!!
