How about all the CO2 produced from incineration?? They don't care, just get rid of the sewage, eh? The best thing to do with sewage, ecologically, is to true compost it.
There is a problem with municipal sewage on the large scale not being usable for compost due to the contamination by heavy metals and other health risks.
>Yes, I am aware of that problem, which is a consequence of gross overpopulation. Only 25% of municipal waste is even partially composted and put in designated fields. The contamination issue is something that people have to be trained about--how to make good compost. Go to the expense of getting toxics out of the sewage. They have gone the cheap route too long, and people have to start taking responsibility of replenishing the earth, literally. Even with their bodies going to orchard burial sites, with no more use of non-biodegradable chemicals, metals, or using CO2 producing cremation.<

Incineration contributes to malevolent climate change and soil organics/micronutrients depletion. The best building products from waste are waste straw bales, and used tires, not s**t bricks.
But if the sewage has to be incinerated the use of the ash is still better than not using it.
Still, incineration flies in the face of the necessity of cutting HGHGs 90% ASAP, to prevent runaway methane releases, and even a worse fate than the inevitable crash by 2050. It is illogical to go the route of extinction of our own species along with most others.
