"Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention.
This will take less than thirty seconds to read. If you agree, please pass it on. This is an idea that we should address.
For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws..
The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform... in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.
If each person that receives this will forward it on to 20 people, in three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.
Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States ."
Sent to me by a former Dustoff medic I flew with on occasion. I would like to see added after "shall make no law", or have no existing law, (then they couldn't say well its on the books and we keep our golden parachutes and don't have to obey the laws).
And more laws Washington DC does not obey---Title8USC1324-5;

"The cards were stacked heavily in favor of amnesty at the Senate's first hearing on immigration reform. While American citizens went largely un-represented, self-proclaimed illegal alien Jose Antonio Vargas testified before the U.S. Senate alongside pro-amnesty groups, including the National Council of La Raza! Adding insult to injury, the head of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) union testified on the same panel as Vargas but was unable to arrest him due to the Administration's current "enforcement priorities."

Mr. Vargas audaciously used this platform to admonish Members of Congress who use the term "illegal," claiming that it insults not only him, but those in his family who brought him here … illegally. Vargas' presence at this hearing clearly illustrated the lack of respect the pro-amnesty wing of the Senate has for the rule of law. We need your help to ensure that the interests of Americans are heard in the current immigration debate!

Following the hearing, an emboldened Vargas publicly attacked FAIR and all those who oppose amnesty through the popular social media site Twitter.

Vargas Tweets: "DEAR [FAIR]... Era of extremist views on #immigration is over... Thanks, America"

When illegal aliens tweet on behalf of America and antagonize those who advocate for the rule of law, it is time to stand up and make sure your voice is heard! We know we have the winning arguments -- we can't allow amnesty advocates like Vargas to distract the media and public from hearing the truth. Will you stand with FAIR to protect the integrity of our immigration system by making a generous tax-deductible donation to FAIR right now? Your financial support will help us continue this critical fight to prevent another devastating amnesty.

Sincerely,
Dan Stein, President"

Governors have no standing in calling a Constitutional Convention, it would be the legislatures voting to do so.

So many errors and why detail them when it has already been done for us ... again.

Actually it's more than that! Those are the figures for homicide in the US by illegal aliens. Accidental deaths add even more!
"According to the FBI illegal aliens murder 12 people per day.
According to the FBI illegal aliens kill 13 people per day while driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol!
There is also an estimated 3 people killed per day by illegal aliens by non-DUI accidents. This figure is assumed to be too low but getting accurate figures is difficult! Especially when illegal aliens run away from the accidents!
I think obama, bush, pelosi, napolitano, etc. should be tried as accessories to murder for not only allowing it too happen but by encouraging it to happen by their actions!" 25 years x 28 per day x 365 days per year=255,500 Americans killed!!!!

Plus this "Death Spiral" going on:

CA, NM, Hawaii, MS, AL, IL, KY, OH, SC, NY, & ME

These 11 States now have More People on Welfare than they do Employed!

Last month, the Senate Budget Committee reports that in fiscal year 2011, between food stamps, housing support, child care, Medicaid and other benefits, the average U.S. household below the poverty line received $168.00 a day in government support. What’s the problem with that much support? Well, the median household income in America is just over $50,000, which averages out to $137.13 a day. To put it another way, being on welfare now pays the equivalent of $30.00 an hour for a 40-hour week, while the average job pays $25.00 an hour.

Actually it was the Senate Budget Committee Republicans website posting the "report".

http://budget.senate.gov/republican/pub ... 28f82f9c75

And the GOP only significantly "cooked the books" to create a false impression of spending in this "report", which clearly is bogus on face value if one has any common sense or basic understanding of math when comparing the lifestyles being discussed.

http://www.cbpp.org/cms/index.cfm?fa=view&id=3907

Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) recently posted to the Senate Budget Committee website a document that implies that programs targeted to low-income people provide lavish benefits that raise the typical poor household’s standard-of-living above that of the typical middle-income household.[1] The Sessions release, however, is deeply flawed; it substantially overstates the assistance that poor households receive. Means-tested programs do not raise poor households anywhere close to a typical middle-income household’s standard of living.

You do realize each time this happens it makes everything you post a little less credible, right?

I guess there are different takes on it, but a left wing attack machine isn't unbiased, is it?

When all else fails a logical fallacy can always be used. An argumentum ad hominem to be precise.

How about some figures on the number of people on welfare in California or any of the other states listed compared to the number of employed? Of course, you have to consider that some people may qualify for several programs so you cannot just tally the program numbers just as you cannot tally the number of jobs since some people may work more than one. The same criteria has to be used for both if the comparison is to be near accurate. On face value the claim is beyond questionable, so give us the data to back it up.

From the "left wing attack amchine" quoting a "left wing" source:

Separately, senior research fellow Robert Rector of the conservative Heritage Foundation gave us a broader definition of welfare -- 79 federal programs -- though even by that measure, he told us by phone, "Welfare recipients do not outnumber workers."

The programs Rector cited in May 3, 2012, testimony to the U.S. House Budget Committee were all means-tested (meaning beneficiaries qualified at least in part due to their income levels) and provided cash, food, housing, medical care, social services, training and certain education aid. Some programs that recipients had contributed to, such as Social Security and Medicare, were excluded.

FAIR; "DHS to release 10,000 Illegal Aliens due to budget cuts

Tuesday, February 26, 2013, 3:42 PM EST

The Department of Homeland Security has announced it will release up to 10,000 illegalaliens who are currently in custody due to the budget cuts expected to kick in at the end of this week. While DHS did say they prioritized based on who would pose a significant threat to public safety, the move has some lawmakers and law enforcement agents nervous.

Arizona's Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu told FoxNews.com that his department is concerned about the 500 illegal aliens they've been ordered to release.

"President Obama would never release 500 criminal illegals to the streets of his hometown, yet he has no problem with releasing them in Arizona. The safety of the public is threatened and the rule of law discarded as a political tactic in this sequester battle," a spokesman for Sheriff Babeu said.

Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama called the decision reckless.

"It is clear the Administration is using the sequester as a convenient excuse to bow to political pressure from the amnesty groups, as it did with its unilateral decision to confer legal status on millions who are not lawfully present," Sen. Sessions said. "With this new action, the Administration has further demonstrated that it has no commitment to enforcing the law and cannot be trusted to deliver on any future promises of enforcement."

ICE said it will continue to prosecute the cases while they keep the released illegal aliens under supervision."

Felony aiding, abetting and encouraging Title8USC1324. Releasing invaders would also be treason.

These "entitlements" should be cut before "we the people" get the complete shaft. That would be part of the cure.

WAGES

Salary of retired US President_________450K for life
Salary of House/Senate members______174K for life
Salary of the Speaker of the House_____223.5K for life
Salary of Majority/Minority Leaders_____194.4K for life

Average income of seniors on Soc. Sec._12K

I think we have found where some cuts can be made! #-o  =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
Here is where the majority of needed income should come from:
Let me see 30 million(real number of illegals, Minimum) times $5k fines plus another 15 million times $10K fines for phony IDs(and 6 mos. or more at hard labor) PLUS 30 million times $5K times at least a million American citizen felony encouragers (and 5 yrs in prison at hard labor, plus all call for property confiscation and selling at auction to help pay fines)= =============

More than the Korean War and Vietnam, combined with Gulf Wars I and II.  :x

Even if it in "only" 100K killed as a result of illegal aliens, it is still very significant and virtually an act of war.

Except for the fact this is all untrue. The salaries are not "for life" as stated.

http://usgovinfo.about.com/od/thepresid ... ialpay.htm

Presidential Retirement and Maintenance
Under the Former Presidents Act, each former president is paid a lifetime, taxable pension that is equal to the annual rate of basic pay for the head of an executive federal department -- $199,700 in 2011

http://www.senate.gov/reference/common/ ... bers.shtml

Members of Congress are eligible for a pension at age 62 if they have completed at least five years of service. They are eligible for a pension at age 50 if they have completed 20 years of service, or at any age after completing 25 years of service. The amount of the pension depends on years of service and the average of the highest three years of salary. By law, the starting amount of a member’s retirement annuity may not exceed 80 percent of his or her final salary

The average Social Security pay for retirement is more than that at $1262.00 per month or $15144 per year.

Most retirees have more sources of income than Social Security as well.

(Plus, many thousands of deaths from introduced diseases few talk about)
I think obama, bush, pelosi, napolitano, etc. should be tried as accessories to murder for not only allowing it too happen but by encouraging it to happen by their actions!"
25+ years x 28 per day x 365 days per year=255,500 Americans killed!!!!
More than the Korean War and Vietnam, combined with Gulf Wars I and II.  :x

If we can pick which of the components on which to blame a crime, such as being illegal in a DUI homicide, instead of the cause of DUI, which occurs even when drivers are not illegal aliens, we come up with some interesting facts.

Firearms are the cause of more deaths than you attribute to illegal aliens, so using this logic we should eliminate them, correct?

Firearm deaths in 2010 were ~50,000 which correlates to ~137 per day and is ~5 times the number you attributed to illegal aliens. Logically firearms are more of a danger than illegal aliens, but you hate one and like the other so logic does not matter, right?

Truth does not matter, as evidenced by the number of false claims continually presented, logic does not matter, for the same reason, but personal opinion does seem to matter .... only yours it seems.
