It has been days and the world has not yet come to an end ...... :eh:

Could it be that love does not destroy, but hate does? O:)

Thank you Wayne. We just need to let go, and trust ....

We will survive when we allow love to be the guide. Fear constricts while love .... well, we have no idea where love will lead us. And that is the beauty of it. We have no idea.

Gay marriage, and the place we call the United States, (which is a fictional place) is now in the green meme, aka Ken Wilber and his conceptualization/map.

Regardless, either by denotation or connotation, many have "conformed" to this view, while may didn't have to.

I appreciate your sentiment.

There is still far to go to for understanding and acceptance for LGBT just as there is still far to go with racial equality or sexual equality even after the huge head start both the latter have. Not in my lifetime, but possibly before the changing climate, which we have created but also refuse to try to correct. toasts most of us.

It's like I always say to those opposing the ruling--if it didn't end shortly after Roe v. Wade, I seriously doubt it will because of this.

That said, I agree with the decision on principle alone. The fact that the state is even making such a decision bothers me, however. This was an outstanding opportunity to truly embrace equality. Instead, those fighting for it settled for the same old scraps everyone else had already--paying licensing fees in exchange for "rights". But, proponents don't care because it isn't about rights or love at all. It's about benefits. Money wins, not love.

The state does have an interest in marrying couples. Why? Because heterosexual relationships generally produce future taxpayers. Same-sex coupling does not. So then, when will we now stop discriminating against tax-paying single people?

What? Single people should not be taxed at a higher rate than their married peers? That is just crazy talk .....

Actually I agree. The rate should be the same whether single or not. The deductions for any additional dependents should be the means by which the rate is adjusted for non-working dependents.

I've got my tickets to Buffalo, NY, for my doctor niece's wedding to a girl engineer. I had given her an advanced course in population science, before I knew how critical the Arctic methane was. It will try my patience and tolerance to the max. I hate big cities, and do not tolerate male homos at all. End of August, and another 45th Dustoff re-union missed. I do love her a lot.

Well, think of it this way--they won't be contributing to population increase.

Hopefully your doctor-niece is not marrying a girl, and the engineer is actually a full grown adult. Girl/Woman terms aside, I am curious Johhny (am I opening a hornet's nest?) why do you not "tolerate" male homosexuals?

As has been noted, they tend not to breed quite as much ......

Love has no rules and should not be in any way badly determined by saying that one should not have the right to love another person, of any which gender. Tolerance is needed!

Things are on the right track in a lot of places, but as we well know, no all.

Live and let love, that's what I say.

Things are getting better all the time, but still a long way to go.
